There’s no getting around it; as a splitboarder you need to enjoy being on the skintrack. At Chimera we focus on designing and building splitboards that are optimized for uphill as well as downhill performance:
All our boards come with traditional cambered or flat profile sections between the bindings, maximizing the contact patch of the skin on snow.
Swing weight is reduced by minimizing the use of steel and other heavy materials at the tips and tails.
Three-axis carbon structure directly under the toe-to-heel section helps maximize the contact patch of the skin on snow, as well as provides snap on kick-turns and extends board life.
