Whether you’re a seasoned backcountry rider, a side-country slayer, or taking your first steps out-of-bounds, learning and reviewing how you approach backcountry travel and riding is essential.
Instructor:
Tony Pavlantos is a certified AIARE Professional Level 1 instructor who has led courses for the Utah Avalanche Center as well as his own education center and non-profit foundation (Prival USA). Tony rides for Chimera Backcountry Snowboards and leads their avalanche awareness and education program.

INTRO TO SPLITBOARDING
For beginners, following the course there will be an optional, informal, on-snow session to practice basic equipment, transitions, uphill travel technique, riding tips, food, layering and other pro-tips. Bring your splitboard!
FREE SPLITBOARD DEMOS and demo beacons, probes, and shovels available upon request (limited availability).
